Coronavirus is an infectious disease caused primarily by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS CoV-2) and is a member of the coronavirus family. Traditional medicines are mostly utilised as preventive and therapeutic agents that are prescribed for patients and are extensively used by the general public. However, the World Health Organization (WHO) has not yet established that traditional medicine can be used to treat Covid-19.

 

Medicinal plants are used for the prevention and treatment of diseases in a variety of ways, including popular and traditional medicines. Traditional medicine is defined as the use of standardised herbal extracts. The majority of traditional medicines are derived from natural materials such as herbs, which vary in chemical composition depending on a variety of circumstances and differ from person to person.
